New decisions from RGPV working committee

Working committee of RGPV University has taken new decisions about grading system, academic calendar, UIT giving autonomous status and other decisions.

1. RGPV working committee has decided to introduce grading system for students taking admission from session 2011.
2. The committee has also decided to give UIT an autonomous status. Now UIT can conduct its own semester exams.
3. In the new session, first semester will start from August and second semester from January. There will be total 45 holydays in the session. Convocation ceremony will be held in June.
4. AICTE (All India Council of Technical Education) office will be in the RGPV University campus.
5. Applied Mathematics is added for PG course in UIT-RGPV.
6. There will be again 10 subjects in first year BE course.
7. Engineering Mathematics 2 (M2) subject will be now taught in 3rd semester.
These are very good decisions taken by the committee. These will improve the quality of technical education.

Result for 3rd semester

Result for 3rd semester of candidates admitted in 2008 is declared on Tuesday.

PET 2010 counseling in the first week of June

The purposed online counseling for admission in engineering collages of MP going to start in the first week of June. The result of PET exam is going to be declared on 2 June. The counseling will start just after the result declared. Collages and MP Online Kioskios are the online counseling centers.

Appearing candidates should prepare their documents before counseling and get verified on the centers given by counseling body.

In my advice candidates should have at least 20 photos, 10 photocopy of each original document, Cast, Income, Domicile and Migration Certificates, 10th -12th mark sheet or 12th appearing certificate etc.

7th Semester (B.E., B.Ph.) 26, 29 May & 3, 5, 8 June.
8th Semester (BE) 25, 28 May & 4, 7 June.
8th Semester (B.Ph.) 25, 28 May & 4, 7, 9 June.

University Institute of Technology- RGPV Bhopal

University Institute of Technology-Rajiv Gandhi Technical University or UIT-RGPV came into existence in 1986, when it was established by Government of Madhya Pradesh.



The college was formerly known as Government Engineering College (GEC), Bhopal or Bhopal Engineering Collage (BEC). In July 2002, the institution became a constituent college of Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya (the Technological University of the State of Madhya Pradesh). University Institute of Technology RGPV imparts technical education at under graduate as well as post graduate levels.



The institution is situated near Gandhi Nagar on the outskirts of the city, about 3 km. from the airport on the Gwalior by-pass road. The campus is spread on contiguous 241.14 acres. The campus has Instructional blocks, Workshop, Library block and Administrative block. Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya, Bhopal



It is also known as Rajiv Gandhi Technical University. It has been established by an act of the Government of Madhya Pradesh in the year 1998 as a common university for all the technical institutes, mainly including Engineering and technical colleges in the state of Madhya Pradesh.

All the colleges of Engineering, Science and Technology as well as the Polytechnics affiliated to various Universities and Boards of Technical Education are affiliated to the newly set up University of Technology. Further, any new college, institute and polytechnic, which are to be set up in the field of Engineering and Technology, including Architecture and Pharmacy, shall be required to be affiliated with the University of Technology of Madhya Pradesh. All the technical colleges and institutes which are running BE, BTech, MCA, BArch, BPharma etc. courses are affiliated to this University in MP.

One of the major areas of focus of the University is to significantly improve the quality of technical education in Engineering Colleges and Polytechnics.


RGTU is committed to excel Madhya Pradesh in the area of Technical Education and Research. The University has planned to setup University Technical Departments(UTDs) in the area of Information Science & Technology, Energy and Environment Management, Bio-technology and Pharmaceutical Sciences. A university department of Entrepreneurship and Management Development is also being setup to provide a formidable support to the development of technopreneurs in the state.
